Grimaldi Group has owned the majority of shares in Finnlines since 2006. As a company specializing in the Baltic and North Seas, Finnlines is one of the largest Ro-Ro and passenger operators in northern Europe. Weekly service from Grimaldi-Finnlines and Egekont connects the Mediterranean Sea to countries in the Baltic Sea, including Russia.. Service is also given to countries in the Mediterranean, West Africa and the Atlantic, including North and South America. This service provides a convenient connection from the Mediterranean to Baltic countries, thanks to a new hub service that has also been started from Helsinki to St. Petersburg (Russia).
